Tie-up with the GSI-NU (Graduate School of Informatics, Nagoya University), Nagoya University signs the Comprehensive Collaboration Agreement with the Matsuzakaya Nagoya Store on May 11, 2017.

Nagoya University (President: Prof. Dr. MATSUO Seiichi) concluded the comprehensive collaboration agreement with the Matsuzakaya Nagoya Store, of the Daimaru-Matsuzakaya Department Stores Co.,Ltd. (Store manager: Mr. KONDO Yasuhiko) on May 11, 2017

 

This agreement promises to work together with the Matsuzakaya Nagoya Store and Nagoya University in the fields of culture, industry, education, academia etc., by utilizing the each specialty fields.

It is realized that it is the first case of this cooperative relations. It would be tried to analyze the trends of customers motivated by the buying opportunities such as the sales, promotional campaign of the store by the way of the utilizing Information Communication Technology (ICT). It’s one of the social experiments as a case of the development for the application of the smartphones and tablet and IoT (Internet of Things) technology, for the purpose of lead to further customer solicitation activities in the Sakae-area in Nagoya City, to implement the various measures to create new values in society and though the experiment by the YASUDA-ENDO laboratories of GSI-NU.

 

GSI-NU also have the plan for the cultivating human resources by the way of the IoT technology research experiments under the collaboration.
 
After the ceremony of signing agreement, Our Dean, Prof. Dr. MURASE Hiroshi says that GSI-NU will try to extend the possibility to be multi-faceted effectiveness through the activities of informatics research in this agreement.

Associate Professor of GSI-NU, Dr. ENDO Mamoru explains that this collaboration have many important research points how to promote the town planning with ICT technology joined by the all members of the related companies, universities and the local community.
